Inteligencia artificial en educación secundaria: oportunidades, riesgos y condiciones para una integración pedagógica efectiva

Resumen

La inteligencia artificial (IA) está incursionando en los sistemas educativos a una velocidad que no siempre va acompañada de evidencia sólida que permita medir su efectividad. Este artículo muestra que los efectos positivos de la IA en la enseñanza secundaria y en contextos K-12 no se producen de manera automática, sino que dependen de un conjunto de condiciones pedagógicas, institucionales y éticas que pocas veces se detallan en los debates actuales. Para demostrar esta tesis, se realizó una revisión crítica de la literatura reciente, organizada en torno a cinco ejes: personalización y retroalimentación, compromiso y apoyo al aprendizaje, función del profesorado, riesgos éticos y de integridad académica, y factores de implementación. Los hallazgos indican que los sistemas adaptativos, los tutores inteligentes, las herramientas de analítica y los asistentes conversacionales ofrecen posibilidades interesantes para diversificar la respuesta educativa, pero su eficacia real está sujeta al diseño instruccional, la supervisión humana, la capacitación docente, las infraestructuras disponibles y las políticas de gobernanza de datos. Entre las limitaciones más notables de la investigación revisada figuran la dispersión metodológica, el predominio de estudios preliminares, la escasez de indicadores comunes y la caducidad acelerada de las soluciones tecnológicas. La conclusión principal es que el debate no debería girar en torno a la conveniencia o no de incorporar IA, sino a identificar las condiciones necesarias para que su uso aporte valor pedagógico real sin sacrificar la autonomía del estudiante, el pensamiento crítico, la equidad o la integridad académica.
