Modelo pedagógico adaptativo para la educación superior en línea con inteligencia artificial generativa: mediación docente, autorregulación y transferencia del aprendizaje

La expansión de la inteligencia artificial generativa (IAG) en la educación superior en línea ha avanzado con mayor rapidez que la capacidad institucional para definir el diseño pedagógico que la sostiene. El objetivo fue construir un modelo pedagógico adaptativo que articule adaptatividad tecnológica, mediación docente, autorregulación del aprendizaje y transferencia, a partir de la evidencia empírica verificable disponible. Se aplicó un diseño no experimental, documental y descriptivo-analítico sobre 25 fuentes comprobables publicadas entre 1992 y 2026: metaanálisis, revisiones sistemáticas, estudios empíricos primarios y marcos normativos internacionales. El análisis de contenido dirigido codificó seis categorías: adaptatividad, mediación docente, autorregulación, transferencia, riesgos cognitivos e integridad, y gobernanza institucional. Los sistemas adaptativos con inteligencia artificial reportan un efecto medio-alto sobre los resultados de aprendizaje (g = 0,70), mientras la IAG muestra efectos heterogéneos: g = 0,392 sobre resultados generales, g = 0,851 sobre pensamiento de orden superior y g = 0,509 de la retroalimentación automatizada sobre la autorregulación, con magnitudes menores en las dimensiones conductual y metacognitiva. La evidencia documenta además riesgos: el uso intensivo de herramientas de IA correlaciona negativamente con el pensamiento crítico (r = −0,68), con la descarga cognitiva como mecanismo mediador. En Ecuador, el 52 % de los estudiantes encuestados usa ChatGPT con frecuencia y ninguno reporta orientación institucional formal. Se propone el modelo MAP-IAG, con seis componentes, reglas operativas e indicadores verificables. Se concluye que la adaptatividad algorítmica se convierte en aprendizaje transferible únicamente cuando la mediación docente conserva las decisiones pedagógicas y se protege deliberadamente el esfuerzo cognitivo del estudiante.
